At the end of the 18th century, monks lived in an abbey in the south of Belgium, famous throughout the country for their art of brewing. From generation to generation they passed on the secrets of malt processing, which give the beer an incomparable taste and aroma. But peace and tranquility were replaced by the horror of war, and robberies and arson forced people to look for a new place to live.

In 1848, the monks moved to a place near the river Meuse, where they found a new home and continued to brew the highest quality beer.

Paying tribute to the terrible times of deprivation, the beer was named BRÛLER, which means «burn» in French.
